The Daily Beet: Tips, Advice and Stories

The Heart Attack Grill. You won't believe your eyes or your arteries!!!

“A meal to die for” aired this morning on The CBS Early Morning Show.  This is both humorous and very sad.

About the author

As a firefighter for the Austin Fire Department, he helped people and saved lives. As a friend to other firefighters, he transformed the way Austin ’s Engine 2 firehouse ate in order to save a firefighting brother’s health. Now, as the author of The Engine 2 Diet, Rip is teaching people the irrefutable connection between what they put in their mouths and their ability to reach their ideal weight and their ideal health.

I feel my cholesterol rise just watching this. Disgusting. And many of the patrons, er, “patients” are obese.

    No thanks.

I cannot believe they are selling an 8,000 calorie hamburger. Sickening, watching people over-indulge in such poor nutrition.

I wonder if patrons have to sign a waiver in case they actually have a cardiac arrest. Is 911 on speed dial? This is absolute suicide. I admit that I do enjoy the occasional burger, but these proportions are repulsive, disgusting and horridly irresponsible. People are playing a very dangerous game with their health, not realizing what a single, high-fat meal is doing to them on the inside.

Truly disgusting. I am not always the most healthy eater, but this is insane and makes me sick to my stomach before I have even had a chance to eat lunch. The trashy waitresses do not help the cause either and then to have your children eating that junk too.

No wonder we have a obesity crisis.
