    Does this mean John Boehner eats a lot of veggies?? Just kidding. We are in our 5ith week or so of the diet. I have lost 13.5 pounds and my husband has lost 19. He was probably the world’s greatest carnivore, so I had my doubts when he put himself on this diet. I joined in and we’re happy to report that we are enjoying the recipes, and we certainly aren’t going hungry. We’ve found the book easy to follow and we are creating our own recipes, as well.

    I was shopping at my local asian mart. I noticed a figherfither talking to a woman reporter, evidently about veggies. He was over by where I get the greens and as I got close I asked him if he was going “vegetarian”? Of course in my mind I associate firefighters and starchitarian diet. Well he wasn’t vegetarian and sort of looked offended. The reporter looked at me and I told her about Engine2 Diet and how a firehouse got a lot of the guys healthy. She stuck the microphone in my face and started asking me about it. I went on a few minutes telling her about Ripp and the affects. I never saw the article if there was one. I thought it was funny but I’m glad I put my 2 cents in.
