Farm to Table

Whole Foods Market Tampa, in partnership with Sweetwater Organic Community Farm hosted the first annual Farm to Table Supper Club on Saturday, February 11th. The dinner, hosted at Sweetwater Farm, was a celebration of the completion of the Engine 2 28 Day Challenge at the Tampa Whole Foods Market. All of the money that was raised went to support Sweetwater Farm in their efforts to bring fresh, organic, local produce to the community.
The 155 guests in attendance enjoyed a four course supper featuring fresh, organic produce from the farm, live music from Juniper, and special guest speakers including Joey Aucoin from “Forks Over Knives” and Dani Little from Engine 2.
The menu was amazing:
Sundried Tomato Pesto- Served at the table with whole grain bread from Whole Foods bakery.
Southwestern Vegetable Stew- a mouthwatering combination of sweet potatoes, black beans, tomatoes, and spices. Hearty and satisfying.
Super Green Mix- A variety of exotic lettuces, kale, radishes, scallions, nasturtiums, and joi choi all fresh from the farm along with walnuts and grape tomatoes served with choice of oil free dressings.
Raise the Roof Sweet Potato Vegetable Lasagna- A favorite straight from “The Engine 2 Diet” on page 202. We featured fresh collards, joi choi leaves, and broccoli straight from the ground onsite as one of the layers!

Carob Orange Mousse- A smooth and delicious combination of medjool dates, fresh orange juice, carob powder, avocado, and vanilla. Served on a rich, sweet raspberry sauce with strawberry and mint garnish.
Everyone had a great time and the event was a huge success! Special thanks to Sweetwater Farm and all of the volunteers that came out and worked so hard to make the event run so smooth!
