Book Club Week 1

Happy Herbivore has posted the discussion questions for week one of the book club! Don’t worry if you haven’t started the book yet, you can jump in anytime!

This months book is “The Pleasure Trap” by Doug Lisle and Allan Goldhammer. It is a fascinating look into the psychology of eating and discusses things like why we are programmed to want to eat the way we do and why it is hard (for most of us) to get active. If these things interest you, this is a must read book for you!

    A virtual book discussion is an awesome idea! I just ordered the book and plan to participate! Our library in Indpendence, Ohio is holding a book discussion about Forks Over Knives on June 6 at 7pm. We’re having a free screening of the FOK movie on May 10 at 6:30 pm. On May 8 we’re screening the movie PolyCultures. The city is also kicking off it’s first community garden. Just love to see the “food revolution” evolving! Anyone want to be a skype guest at one of these events?
