I watched the kitchen makeover last night and Rip said they made homemade pizza crust. Does anyone have that recipe?

I don't have that recipe but I use my regular bread recipe which works great. I like thick pizza crust so a full recipe makes 2 large pizzas for me. They are the size of cookie sheet each. I use a mixer with a dough hook. You could do it by hand easily.
24 oz warm water
1 t salt
1 T raw sugar
2-3 T yeast
1/2 cup vital gluten
6 c Whole Wheat flour total (approximately)
Mix first 4 ingredients above with 2 cups ww flour together in mixing bowl until well mixed. Let set about 10 minutes until bubbly and frothy.
Slowly add about another 4 cups WW flour and ½ c vital gluten while mixer is going until the dough holds together. Knead for 6 to 10 minutes, depending on how dough looks. It needs to be able to be thinned out in your wet hands until almost transparent without breaking. See me if needed! Let rise in large bowl, punch down really well and form into loaves. Place dough in pans and let rise again. Bake at about 375 for 30 minutes until sounds hollow.
This makes 2 loaves or one loaf and a pizza crust.

Yum! Do you use regular whole wheat flour, white whole wheat flour, or other flour? Thanks!

I grind my wheat to make just regular whole wheat. I have used white whole wheat flour before, it makes no difference in the bread and not much difference in color either.

I made this bread today and my husband said it was the best looking bread I'd ever made! We're having it with dinner tonight. Many thanks Cathey!

You need sugar in any bread recipe to feed the dough. This little bit is okay.
