This diet has had a large impact on my body however not a measurable improvement to my immune system.  Ever hear of the vegan kids who have never been sick?   I'm wondering if there are other changes I can make to improve immunity or recovery.

Currently recovering from a flu w/ multiple days fever, with typical cocktail of ibuprofin + acetaminophen + guaifenesin with sleep & water and lots of time as the only ingredients which really seem to work.

Although I have tried foods without effect when having a flu…  raw ginger, boiling ginger for tea, lots of certain veggies (like extra extra brocolli), kombucha (store bought so likely not great), garlic (both raw and cooked), herbal teas, green tea….

What to try?

I don't know that anything is going to work to get rid of it once you actually have the flu.

I would think the above things would be really helpful in preventing you from getting it.

Even the healthiest of us get sick still! Drink lots of water and rest of course. Overtime hopefully you will see improvements to your immune system overall, but it is not a guarantee that you will never get sick. Be sure to stay away from anything processed (oil/sugar/salt) as well.

I have dropped weight, gained energy and have great blood work….but this year seem to be on a run of colds. Of course three grandsons 2-6 may be a factor…:)

Really? Do most of you still get sick? I must be the exception then, because I haven't had a cold or flu since I went vegan two years ago. Initially I was a bit of a junk food vegan…it's only been a year since I've smartened up about oil and sugar and upped the veggies. Also, I'm never really around kids so that probably makes a difference.
