Hi,
My 13 year old son and I will be flying home for 2 weeks. We will be travelling a total of 11 hours. We are only taking carry on baggage. Besides fruit, I would love some portable, airline friendly snacks I can carry with us!
Thanks!

I like the dry-roasted soybeans. They're full of protein and don't need refrigeration.
I love to eat them and raisins together. :)

This is interesting. I'm about to get back on a plan myself and just got back from Suflower market toget some healthy snacks so I don't have to endure airport food.
Here is what I got, all from the bulk section except for the wasa crackers and hummus:
Whole wheat (yes, "whole wheat" was first ingredient listed) fig nutens, pitted dried tart cherries, dried apple slices, Lara bars (not sure these are comliant but seem acceptable to me-just be careful which flavor you get) and wasa crackets with hummus.
One thing is for sure, I won't be going hungry on the plane or tempted to eat the shyte they pass around on the plane.

Howdee,
I tried, and love, the Barbaras Bakery figs, here:

The Multigrain and Wheat Free Raspberry are both wheat free and E2 approved.
They're yummy.
Raisins is a good idea. You could also make yourself some muffins, take a few along.

Something as simple as… fresh baby carrots in a zip-loc bag? Or celery sticks. Those work very well for me, and I travel a lot! They don't go bad quickly.
Make sure that you consume or throw away any foods you've taken on the plane when you get off it. Depending on where you're going, authorities can take a very dim view of people bringing edibles in, because of contamination.
